Sweet Kugel

Jewish cuisine in true casserole fashion – also known as Kugel – is composed of buttery noodles swirled with a sweet, creamy sauce and baked until golden.

Ingredients
 16 oz Creamette® Wide Egg Noodles
 6 egg, lightly beaten
 1.50 cups sugar
 8 oz cream cheese, softened
 1.50 lbs cottage cheese
 16 oz applesauce
 1 cup golden raisins
 0.50 cup butter
 0.13 tsp ground cinnamon
 0.13 tsp ground nutmeg

Cooking Directions

Preheat oven to 350º F. Prepare pasta according to package directions; drain.

 In a large bowl, beat eggs, sugar, cream cheese, cottage cheese and applesauce.

 Stir in raisins, butter, cinnamon and nutmeg. Fold in cooked pasta.

 Coat individual non-stick mini-pie trays with non-stick cooking spray. Pour noodle mixture into trays.  If you wish, use a 9 x 13-inch baking dish for baking instead.

 Cover and bake 1 hour. Remove from oven and let stand for 10 minutes. Serve warm.
