Ingredients:

4 slices thick sliced bacon, diced
garlic cloves, sliced thin
3/4 tsp freshly ground black pepper
3/4 cup finely grated Pecorino cheese, divided
1 pkg (8.8 oz) Creamette® Homestyle Fettuccine

Cooking Directions:

Cook pasta in salted water as directed on package until al dente. Reserve 2 cups pasta cooking water; drain.

Meanwhile, place bacon in large skillet on medium heat. Cook 5 to 6 minutes or until bacon is rendered and starts to crisp, stirring frequently. Add garlic; cook an additional 2 to 3 minutes until golden. Remove bacon and garlic from pan with slotted spoon; drain on paper towel-lined plate.

Discard all but 2 tablespoons bacon drippings from skillet. Add 1 cup reserved pasta water and pepper to pan. Cook on medium heat until simmering. Remove pan from heat. Add pasta, cheese, bacon and garlic. Toss well with tongs, adding remaining pasta water as needed until all cheese is melted and pasta is glazed in a light milky sauce. Serve immediately.

Tip: To easily chop bacon into small uniform pieces, place bacon in the freezer for 15 to 20 minutes.
